light infusion – contemporary lighting LED Floor lamp

Literally “light infusion”, this design transforms the intravenous apparatus of yesteryear into a contemporary lighting piece. This lamp design is a compelling and evocative visual double entendre, reminding us all that light is life. Currently used in fashion boutiques, bars, by interior designers and most frequently purchased by doctors for their own home, the lamp’s style, theme and presence instantly changes any environment into which it is placed. The lamp has a powder-coated steel frame, four transparent power cables and four sand-blasted glass bottles with dimmable clear LED bulbs. I can imagine really creeping out the neighbors by switching out the white LED light bulbs to red LED bulbs showcasing your blood lust or horror movie fanaticism.

LED Light Swarovski Crystal

Imagine walking into a room with bags of crystals hanging from the ceiling which seem to be glowing in their brilliant glory. At the Design Miami show held at The Moore Building, located in the epicenter of Miami’s Design District, Swarovski Crystal Palace unveiled an exhibition featuring Light Sock by New York-based architecture firm, Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Diller Scofidio + Renfro moved away from the traditional chandelier design and filled a mesh sack with Swarovski crystals. The result was breathtaking and stunning and quite a hit with viewers. A LED light source is hidden amongst thousands of Swarovski crystals which together create an illuminated brilliance in design.
