YAS Hotel lights up with LEDs

Just when you thought that funds in the Middle East were running dry, the YAS Hotel in Abu Dhabi stuns the world by boasting the world’s biggest LED project which can be controlled via remote device management (RDM) protocol. This 5-star complex comes with a curvilinear grid-shell which is covered with more than 5,300 diamond-shaped steel panels, where they will also hold nearly 5,000 RGB LED fixtures. It would be interesting to see the monthly power bill of the hotel though, and we sure hope this hotel contains elements of solar power as well in order to reduce its carbon footprint.
