Part weeble, part LED flashlight, the Sanyo Eneloop Lamp is a clever design for both everyday lighting and emergency needs. We hope to see emergency lighting of this decor friendly variety in our household soon ourselves.
Unfortunately not available in Japan before September 11, Sanyo released a gorgeous dual mode Eneloop Interior light that can also be used as a flashlight when its body is tilted 90 degrees. The stand light is also sold with a non-metallic contact-charging stand, which gives enough juice to recharge two AA type Eneloop batteries.
Tokyo, June 30, 2009 – SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. (SANYO) is pleased to announce the release of a rechargeable interior light, “eneloop lamp,” as a new addition to the “eneloop universe products.” After first releasing the rechargeable battery “eneloop,” since November 2005 SANYO has been promoting a new lifestyle of “reusing instead of disposing” through expanding the product series called “eneloop universe products” which embody the concept of “looping energy.” The new product being added here is a multiple use lamp that can be used as an “interior light” for daily living and as a “flashlight” in an emergency. This product uses a contactless charging system and has no metallic contact on the product body, giving it a nice exterior appearance. SANYO, which promotes a lifestyle of “reusing instead of disposing,” will continue to expand the world of “eneloop universe products” so that people can enjoy lifestyle-changing products comfortably in their daily life.
