512Pb is an interactive lightinstallation consisting out of 8 matrices of 64 bright white LEDs.The LEDs are individually addressable and give shape to the X- Y- en Z-coordinates of a one cubic meter cube.
The goal of this installation is to experiment with virtual boundaries. How can art in public spaces have an effect on people and visa versa?
The MIMIC camerasystem of KITT Engineering captures the movements of visitors. The processed data is directly translated into fascinating lightanimations. In this way 512Pb displays the movement of people in the space it is representing and stimulates visitors to walk around.
